Venetucci Farm 90th anniversary pumpkin display in Colorado Springs

For generations, Venetucci Farm has been part of the story of Colorado Springs. Families remember visiting the farm, walking the fields, and taking home a pumpkin — a simple tradition that became part of growing up in the Pikes Peak region.

Today, that tradition is creating new connections. Colorado Youth Outdoors, working alongside the Pikes Peak Real Estate Foundation, local schools, community partners, and volunteers, is helping bring a new generation of children to Venetucci Farm.

More Than a Pumpkin

The pumpkin may be what children carry home, but the experience is about something larger. Bringing schools, community organizations, volunteers, and families together creates opportunities for connection — the same kind of intentional relationship-building at the heart of Colorado Youth Outdoors.

A Community Effort

Throughout October, Colorado Youth Outdoors is coordinating the school experience at Venetucci Farm, welcoming kindergarten students from across the Pikes Peak region. The effort brings together school districts, community partners, businesses, and volunteers around a shared experience for local children.

That work has also drawn broader community attention. The Gazette recently highlighted Venetucci Farm’s enduring pumpkin tradition and the generations of Colorado Springs residents who continue to value what the farm represents.

Carrying the Tradition Forward

Venetucci Farm’s story has always been about more than pumpkins. It is about community, generosity, and creating experiences people remember. Colorado Youth Outdoors is proud to help carry that tradition forward by bringing people together and creating opportunities for relationships to grow.
